Ever since Soul joined our family, True and Brave have really taken to playing together a lot. It seems like their pretend play has grown since Soul came. Could it be that their Mommy is breast feeding, thus during this time they are left to wander and play to their heart's content? I think so.
Yesterday, her and True had one request. They wanted a new doll, not that don't already have plenty, but as a doll-lover myself (I had tons of Barbies growing up) how could I refuse such a sweet request? Doll making for my girls is what I did and two new little dolls is what they get! Perfect for more pretend playing during those moments Mama is occupied with little Soul.
So sweet. I can look at my little ones for ages when they are engaged in play like that.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! They always say kids learn from their parents (mostly mom), so you can tell she has a great role model. ;^) Brave playing momma looks just so sweet & I really, really want her room! I love her new dolls... my girls are too old for dolls, but when I do have another baby, I will make her own dolls for sure. They are so much better than any store bought dolls & they all have different personalities. I can so see you girls growing up and being best friends & I can imagine lots of giggling in their rooms, etc. What fun! My girls are off for a 4 day weekend, so we'll do some baking & crafting.
ReplyDeleteFabulous!
ReplyDeleteI'm often "Katlyn Black" when we play. I don't know where they got the name... but that's waht they call me!
We love to play!
Aw, how sweet! I love your childrens names! You children are lucky to have such a talented mom, who can make them such precious dolls to love on!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! And Brave acting all grown up.
ReplyDeleteDo you use a pattern to make your dolls? I am just learning to sew for this very reason - you have inspired me...but I want to find a pattern to make dolls similiar to what you have just made. Any suggestions?
Agh! How sweet! makes my heart melt, really. My daughters often play with their dolls, but get this, they also nurse their dolls! I wonder if Brave and True will do the same? Precious post!
ReplyDeleteThose dolls are adorable. But what's really cute is your daughter wanting you to call her Mama : P Haha oh the days fly by....

ReplyDeleteI am so glad you list what sewing machine you use...I need one so terribly and have the Janome Sew Precise at the very top of my wish list:)
ReplyDeleteI've bought (count them) FOUR second hand machines only to have them all malfunction. I am ready to take the leap and get a brand-new one and really teach myself to sew.
I'd LOVE the ability to make such sweet things each day for my little ones<3
