I had a bad case of mess stress yesterday and was a bit cranky towards True, so today I thought I would spend a little time with just her. I rarely get to go out with just one of them, so this was a nice little change. Don't worry, we didn't leave the other kids unattended, Ben was home for the day. We did a couple errands, then had lunch together, and while we were waiting for our food, we did reading. I was actually looking for a starbucks so we could work on some of her schooling, but didn't find one nearby, so I figured we could get some work done while we waited for lunch. I think she really liked this special time and I like it just as much too. Next on the agenda, Brave gets a little date.
I didn't even realize, until True pointed it out to me, we were semi-matching in our navy stripes. I probably should have put her in her own clogs, so we could be real twinsies! I am loving my clogs. They are truly quite comfy, just as comfy and pretty as my red ones! I have said this before, but I am definitely clog addicted.
Tomorrow I have three really good giveaways coming to you, so don't forget to check back. Enjoy your weekend!!!
you guys are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteps I have the same sweater as you!
so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I really need to do the same with my little ones... maybe that's what I should ask for this Christmas. :) Time with each of them.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. One on one time is great. I loved having days just me and mom or just dad and I. They always made an effort to have those special days. It was always so nice to have my parents undivided attention (my syblings and i were ususlly always together so it was nice to get away) I'm sure True must have enjoyed her time alone with you. I know I certainly cherished my mommy and daddy dates.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I love your blog. I like that you seem to be a real down to earth woman of faith-which is so rare to find! Your girls are absolutely precious, and I love that they have very unique names! Love your style, love your little family through pictures, and like hearing about what you are making and your day! :D Love, Jasmine
ReplyDeleteThe last photo, of the two of you, is just so lovely!

the last picture ist so supercute!
ReplyDeleteSuch beauties!
ReplyDeleteYou know I used to get really bent out of shape with my 4 year old (she's 6 now) and it caused me massive mother guilt. One thing that helped me was writing a few reminders including one Bible verse (that I cannot remember right now, sorry) and taping them to my mirror. One thing I reminded myself was that my daughter truly meant no harm. She truly did not have intentions to aggravate me and do wrong. She was just being 4. I hope that helps. I only have one and I know what it's like to want to pull your hair out. Just remember that it is normal and "This too shall pass"....probably way to quickly.
More photos of your hair! It looks great!!
