Last week we had nice cool sweater weather, but now the temperatures are going back up and it is expected to be 98 degrees on Wednesday. Me oh my! I can't wait for the cool to come back and stay. Didn't California get the memo that it is now Fall?!! So what do we do? We wear plaid and peep toes in a California Autumn!
True actually calls her outfit a "farmer's outfit", kids come up with the funniest ideas, and she is the one who dressed herself completely and it is just coincidence we both picked plaid. I guess, like mother, like daughter. Though most of the country has already traded in their sandals for boots, we still get to wear ours here. Come to think of it, some southern Californians still wear flip flops throughout the winter.
I think I mentioned a couple months ago that I had been obsessed with wooden soled shoes, particularly clogs. Ask my BFF, I was constantly emailing her about clogs and which ones I loved and wanted. It was bad. Then came along Lotta from Stockholm and I fell hard in love with all their clogs. Stocked with loads of cute options, which are quite reminiscent of the famed Swedish Hasbeens, but more realistic for budget conscious folks.
When it came time to pick one, if took me forever, cause like I said, all the options were so adorable. If I were able, I would pick one from every style, but what I wanted most was something red and the peep toe style was perfect! The great thing about Lotta's clogs, besides already being affordable, they have a sale section where you can get things at an even more discounted rate.
on me: dress, anthropologie. belt, vintage. shoes, c/o lotta from stockholm.
For those wondering how they fit and feel, I say they are very comfy and the leather super soft and walking on wood does not bother me at all. I did have to go one size up from my normal size 36 (US 6), but that is no biggie. The shoes are also very well made and I love that they are handcrafted. Lotta from Stockholm is run by a husband and wife team, Jonny and Lotta, so if you have questions just shoot them an email and they are happy to help clog lovers out!
Don't forget to head "over there" and see Rachel's clogs and how she styled them! I so have missed our collaboration and I am excited to get it underway again. Anyone else a clog lover like us?!!
Thank you super-duperly much to Lotta and Jonny from Lotta from Stockholm! Obviously, Rachel and I love our clogs very much!!!
p.s. love misha lulu? purchase something at the surplus store and they will be throwing in an extra treat with your order!

Hi Ruby,
ReplyDeleteYou guys look adorable as always.
I love the red clogs so much. You mention size up. What size do you normally wear? I'm a US 7 or 37, do I need to size up to 38?
Thank you.
Khanh
khahn or for anyone else interested in sizing: I normally wear a us6/36, but for the clogs I got a size 7/37 based on the recommendation of jonny & lotta and it worked out wonderfully for me.
