TOLD YOU I WAS MESSY

i got mad messes!i got mad messes!i got mad messes!i got mad messes!i got mad messes!
My house never looks like this, at least not for very long, and these are our messy kid room pictures taken a couple weeks ago. This is what their rooms look like most of the time. I cleaned it up, but now it looks like that again, but even worse! I will probably try to clean them out again today, but the key word is try. I said that yesterday too and obviously never got to it.

I appreciate all the kind your words all have given in the previous posts. This post also resonated well with me and it helped me understand this crazy time and how I can rejoice in God through it. Though I probably will complain more than rejoice, but that is a work in progress too.

I think I have spent time regretting that I am not enjoying every single second cause a lot of these seconds with little ones are hard, busy, trying to keep your head above water moments. That's the truth about parenting. It's hard. No one said it was going to be easy. You have these hard moments all day long, but then you also have moments that make you just be in awe at your kids. I love these in awe moments a lot! I am here to serve my family and will continually ask God to help me with that.

And I am thankful that I can share what God has been churning in my heart with you all, I think that is the wonderfulness of sharing in this space. Also, I learn from the wisdom you all share too!

Okay, promise a more lighthearted post soon. Now, I am off to put on my chef hat for my daughters!

On an unrelated note, my friend and photographer Ica from Ica Images will be in SoCal soon and from January 24-31 she will be having a "Southern California Special" family shoot, maternity session, any kind of shoot you can think of for $75! She can even teach you the basics of your DSLR as she taught me how to use mine! If interested just shoot her an email at ica.images@gmail.com.

And don't forget my giveaways!

neat and tidy

The work table is clean again. The messes are cleared off and I am ready to get crackin' at making another mess (shop update coming soon). My shelves are a bit tidy too. Though, my studio is far from clean. It is organized chaos as everything is put away, but not organized. So it is kinda clean, but not really. I really want to get more shelves up to help me, but I need to find some shelves to put up first. Oh boy! I am always a work in progress, but life is like that don't you think?

I will be sure to get some work time in this afternoon, but right now, I just want to cuddle with my girls all day long. It is gloomy outside and drizzling, staying in bed and being under the covers is just so inviting. Good thing, I have a list of to-dos today to keep me focused. Do you make a list of daily to-dos? If so, what is on your list today?

scenes of our day

messesmesseslittle handskeeping me warm
Three kids. Not much gets done in a day now that I have three. Time goes faster, more messes are made, and sometimes I feel that I won't ever catch up. I am definitely having to learn to rebalance, it isn't easy and often times I find myself frustrated. In times like these, I need to pray more. Well, I ought to pray more regardless.

I lay down to feed Soul and I hear the older girls making a ruckus somewhere, I come out to find a mess of toys laid out everywhere! This can sometimes drive me crazy as the inner neat freak inside me freaks out, but I must learn to let things go. It is just an absolute must for my sanity. Nevertheless, though sometimes they and their messes can drive me insane, at the end of the day as I sit with them on the couch and cuddle, I am definitely glad to be there mom. I will happily take them messes and all. Thank you Lord for giving me True, Brave, and Soul.

slow and stuck

This week has been a tough one. Not much getting done and not much desire to get anything done. Ever have one of those weeks? Though with my slowness and stuckness, there has been a lot of cuddling. Now, that is good. The girls and I will spend the morning just cuddling in my bed. Then, the afternoon is spent cuddling on the family room floor. Really, those are good times. I am treasuring these moments.

I got myself a little perk up, or energy booster, or creative juice flow-er, or just whatever you want to call it. The most recent issue of Lula (ah! such visual eye candy!) and a piece of fruit (okay, maybe I had 4 on the plate and already ate 3).  I am hoping this will help unstick me and make me faster. Hoping. Maybe.

Therefore, if I owe you an email or comment (and I know I have a few deadlines looming), please forgive me. I will get to it. I promise. It's just right now I am stuck and slow. Just one of those weeks when nothing much is going on except lots of cuddling and laying in bed. You wouldn't even want to see my house. Ah! Such a mess. Maybe I should hire an assistant, okay, maybe not, the job description would sound more like slave and I don't think anyone would want that job. Nope. I am sure no one would want that job. That wouldn't be much fun.

Well, here's to my fruit munching and juice flowing and Lula browsing need to get some inspiration back time...

How are you all feeling today? Anyone stuck too?

All day...

Spent slaving away and working...

I have gotten pricked by lots of pins...

I have poked my lovely pin cushion lots of times...

Some little sweets somewhere will soon be enjoying some Cakies...
This all just makes me happy!

A break was needed, so we went to the nearby park to have dinner. We picked up some sushi and just enjoyed the fresh air (as fresh as southern California air can get)... True even got her own roll!

I see the carrot dangling ahead and I look forward to a little break. I have so many new ideas that I want to try out that I can't wait to give them a go... to create for the sake of creating! And oh lots of projects to do around the house... decorating! I love decorating!!!

What a mess!

February 15, 2008

I love surprises...

Well, I love receiving them and making them...
This was my mess before my little Valentine's Day surprise for Papa Cakies (Benny)...
And this was the culmination of all his little surprises... little notes found here and there and delivered by both my BabyCakies.
Of course, to honor the sweet day, BabyCakies 1 (True) and I did some baking. Thanks to Martha Stewart and Sprinkles Cupcakery Owner Candace Nelson. They aren't as pretty as the real deal, but they taste pretty darn close... So yummy!!!

There are still many cupcakes left over and you bet I will enjoy and devour every single one...

And I also loved the sweet poem PapaCakies made me. I love him to death!!! To see more of our sweet, fun filled Valentine's visit I love Benny.

Happy Friday Everyone!!!

Rainboots in October...

And we had a watermelon day!!!

I really need my own craft room because we haven't seen our dining table in months!!!

Monday...

Today, I had to do a lot of work for Benny in between changing and feeding both babycakies. I still have clippies to make, projects waiting to be started, and our house is a mess. This is my mess...

Which is not nearly as bad as True's mess...

And her lunch mess...

And the girls took nice afternoon naps, while I tried to do more work for Benny. This is Brave napping...

And through a cracked open door to her room, this is how True looks napping...

I do have some fun things that I just got. My new pattern book and some more fabric that will be used for my list of projects waiting to get started, but only after I clean the house!!! Also, I started a new crafting medium and I am in the process of taking lessons. My mom also showed me a new trick tonight...

Benny is going out of town tomorrow and taking the computer with him. I will say farewell to all my online doings for the next few days, which is just as well because I have a house to clean, clips to make, and projects to start on. So maybe when he returns, I will cross off some of the things on my to do list...

Lord, please keep our Benny safe as he goes off to provide for our family. Keep him alert as he drives and give him energy to carry out all the tasks at hand. And bring him home safely...
