brownies again

Two girls napping, one playing phonics games, I should have went straight to getting some cleaning time in. I have lots to do after all, but what did I do instead? I satiated my sweet craving and made these brownies (via food coma).
brownies again
I didn't have some of the ingredients, so I had to play the substituting game. I used vanilla vodka instead of vanilla extract, brown sugar instead of regular sugar, and semi-sweet chocolate instead of unsweetened chocolate, so even though the brownies came out tasting alright, I am sure they are supposed to taste better. The most important thing is that is satiated this pregnant woman's craving and that's all that matters in the end. Obviously, I need to make a grocery run and once I am stocked with the right ingredients, I will give this recipe another shot.

After brownie eating, I did get some cleaning done. I have got my studio/craft area cleaned up and semi-organized. I did a lot of purging, but now I just need a place to put all my fabric. I did some major moving around and now I have just have all my fabric piled up in a corner. Now, what to do with that pile?! I wish I could go to the flea market right now so I could find something to put everything on. I must be patient. Patience is a hard thing to have sometimes, don't you think? Especially when it comes to finding the perfect vintage piece.

Are you an organized craft person or do you just stuff and stash? I tend to be stuff and stash, but I am hoping to change that.

  2. I get organized and then instantly start collecting and spreading all over... Creativity is messy is my motto.

  3. I like to stuff and stash, but in nice containers! I have a couple of old leather suitcases where I keep my yarn stash and all my handbags, and my fabric stashes are hidden away in a couple of drawers, one tapestry-covered sewing box, and the rest are hidden under my bed.

I would love to have some nice open shelving so I could see everything at once, neatly folded and colour-coded, but I know would never keep it tidy enough and it would just end up looking cluttered, so my policy is to hide my messes!

  4. I'm stuff and stash when I'm crafting but I try hard to get organized on the end of each project (ok, in tha end of the week. er... in the end of the month!)

  5. And some hugs from the Netherlands. I recognise so much from all the things you describe. Now we're at the point of moving I wish I were more organised: I have to go through all the piles of stuff, and decides where to put what. But when all that's done, I hope to keep verything organised and in the right boxes.

Good luck with your cravings! But brownies are always nice, so it's good to create your perefct recipe for them.

  6. I stuff and stash, but a big thing on my list right now is getting my studio/office organized. It's going to be a huge task because I've mostly just been throwing things in there and not dealing with it.
