last night's dinner

last night's dinner
One of our easy go-to dinners... cook whole wheat spaghetti, boil shrimp in water with a little bit of garlic salt sprinkled in, drain the shrimp, lightly coat the spaghetti with extra virgin olive oil, put shrimp on top, add lots parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes (I like to put a lot). It is all so yum!

What did you have for dinner last night?

p.s. thank you so much for your seriously sweet words regarding yesterday's post and how you still continue to visit this space even when i feel kinda boring! you guys are the best!

  5. we had sweet and sour meatballs with white rice. kekoa really likes them. i make them in a crockpot and it's soooo easy. probably not as healthy as your meals, but still yummy and quick. i like your shrimp spaghetti. i don't like red pepper though. i love checking in and seeing what's going on with the bratchers!

  11. pasta + shrimp is pretty much my favorite meal in the world... i try to order it everywhere we go (a regretted mistake at most places), but it is never the same as homemade!

  12. That sounds delish! Last night we had a particularly yummy brown rice salad. Soak 1/4 cup of currants in red wine vinegar to plump up. Chop into half inch cubes a small butternut pumpkin, fry olden golden all over and soft in olive oil, with half a dozen whole garlic cloves tossed in. remove pumpkin then add two thinly sliced onions in the same oil and cook slowly until caramelised. Return pumpkin to pan, add currants and vinegar to pan, add about 2 cups cooked brown rice to pan and extra oil, mix through lots of chopped parsley and coriander and top with lots of toasted pine nuts - YUM!

  14. What a coincidence! My mom made something just like this meal a few days ago.
Some differences between yours and hers were that she added both shrimp and crabmeat lumps to the pasta, and also added in raw mozzarella. It made it just a bit gooey and delicious.
Your shrimp look a little bare- maybe it would be tasty if you cooked them in some sort of homemade sauce before adding them to the pasta? :)
