The big girls had dance class, so the babies and I went on a donut date. Soul's got the sweetest tooth of all, so you can imagine her excitement when we walked in and all these pretty donuts were at her eye level. We got a dozen donut holes for $1.50, which I think is a darn good deal, but then again, I haven't bought donuts in about 10 years, so maybe that's normal. And I must say those were the best donut holes I have ever had. Again, maybe any donut will taste good to me at this point, which now makes me curious to go to other donut shops just to compare.
It was a nice day out of the house since we have been pretty much cooped upstairs due to the flooring changing going on downstairs. The big girls danced, the little girls had donuts (okay, Glow got hers in a donut milkshake), and that made for a good morning.
on me: shirt, thrifted. belt, thrifted. fit to newsprint skirt, c/o modcloth. pansy flat c/o modcloth.
on soul: dress, misha lulu. flip flops, target.
on glow: she's been wearing that for two days. really.
Ooo Yummy donuts. You should try donut man in Glendora. They make a ton of delicioius donuts! There open faced strawberry donut is wonderful!!
ReplyDeletep.s. Soul looks so big! Such precious girls you have!
i've heard of that place. the tough part is getting ben to go to a donut place... it's not on his life's list of to-do's!
DeleteLove the happy donut face!

The girls are so adorable! Soul looks very happy in her photos. Can she keep her flip flops on? My toddler girl loves her flip flops but cannot keep it on for dear life.
ReplyDeletethey stay on alright. they came off twice this morning. my problem with them is that she likes to touch them when she is sitting and i really don't like her touching the bottom of her shoes!
DeleteUGH! Iz does that, too! Touching the bottom of her shoes. As far as flip flops go, Old Navy makes ones for toddlers that have that back strap on them... maybe that helps them stay on better?
DeleteNow I am craving a donut. You should've gone to VooDoo when you did your PacNW trip! Maple-Bacon donut... mmmmm!
Glow's getting so big! :)
Old Navy sandals, I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the tip!

ReplyDeleteHi Ruby,
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering if you specifically blocked your images from pinterest for some kind of protection. If so, I respect that as much as I respect you. <3 But I, um, totally love the picture of your skirt and seychelles, and if you give me permission I'd love to pin it. I would give you full credit!

yes, go ahead, just add the link to this post. i pin things from cakies by uploading straight too. it's just i use flickr to host my pictures and they don't let my images be pinned. i haven't found a suitable solution just yet, but i don't mind my pictures be pinned as long as i am credited. thank you for asking!
Deleteshiloh! here is the pin: http://pinterest.com/pin/15621929927782947/

DeleteSoul has grown so much...wow....she is already a little lady, more and more beautiful each day!
ReplyDeleteI love that she has such a sweet tooth :) she seems a very sweet child too!
One of the best days I have ever had involved donuts. My soccer team just won the state cup and I came back to my car to go home/shower/celebrate and found a flyer for a dozen free donuts from a local shop on the windshield. For the love of carbs, I 86ed the shower and stuffed my face! Oh, and your family is gorgeous!
