So I have totally been bitten by the colored denim thing. I have mentioned (here) my desire to try them, but reluctant because Ben doesn't think they are classic enough for me to spend our money on. Well, I got some at Urban Outfitters and didn't technically spend my money since I used a gift card! Totally gotta love them gift cards. Ben can't complain. Plus, though he thinks this trend won't last past this year, he says they are kinda fun. I definitely think so.

Um, anyone wanna try kelly green ones with me? I got enough left in my gift card to do so! Seriously thinking about it...

What I'm wearing... shirt, anthropologie. necklace, a merry mishap. jeans, urban outfitters. shoes, madewell (gifted from my parents). bag, anthropologie.

  1. You are so adorable! I love it! I have a pair of burnt red pants and I love them too! I feel like red is the most fun out of all the colors or mustard yellow which I have been looking out for!

  2. So great (and sassy)! I just got a kelly green pair from Target, and I'm excited that the weather is getting more sunny so that I can wear them with cute tops instead of a winter coat.

  3. Adorable! I feel like I have a lot of neutral tops, so a colorful bottom for spring makes a lot of sense. I say go for the green!

  6. I hate to admit it, but i have about 10 pairs of colored denim, I absolutely love them and honestly I don’t think they will ever be out of style. I look back at women through the decades and just love the colored pants they used to wear, whether they were pastels or plaid slacks. I think this trend is sticking around just like the leggings from last year. I still see so many women in leggings and tunics and I love it! Just a heads up, Gap has some great skinny colored jeans and it’s their friends and family sale right now so the whole store is 40% off!

    1. Yes! I think they are classic. They were popular in the 70s right? and 80s... I have 2 colored pairs from UNIQLO. one is light pink and a little big on me but I still love them, and one is light orange. I actually don't wear them out a lot. like, at all. Which is sad. I need to try to wear it out more. =/

  7. I love that color! that is so funny cause I am on the same page as you, and your husband, I want some now that I see them every where and think they are so cute, and I have seen they actually work as a neutral more then I thought they would.. but I don't want to spend the money, so my solution is that I have some cute white pants (they are flared, but in the cute 70's wide leg style that is coming back) and they have a grey stain on the very bottom from stepping on them and I never wear them because of it, so I figured no harm is trying to dye them with some RIT dye and see if it jazzes them up! I love the color you have on and want to try and get that, but they may turn out more red, which I am ok with! wish me luck!

  12. Even if they aren't "in" for more than a few seasons, the color is one that never goes out (it's not like you got neon yellow), plus, colored pants come in and out of style over and over agian, so no worries there! Just don't get rid of them, they'll come back!

  13. I got some from Madewell and LOVE them! Here is me in them, in case you care (http://jgrimbleby.blogspot.com/2012/02/what-i-wore-six.html). And I don't care if they go out of style, I love them too much to care! You look adorable. Love that you paired a green purse with them.

  19. Girl, this is too cute of a look. Love how you paired it with other bright and bold colors. I actually have worn a pair of turquoise colored jeans and posted them on the blog not too long ago myself. Also, I thrifted a pair of bright canary yellow skinnies. Kind of stoked to wear them!

  20. I've just got a pair from kmart in Australia for $19 they look just like all the super $$ ones and I figure for $19 that's not too bad for a season or two but red is my fav color so I'll prob wear them a lot! Being so skinny legged I'm struggling to decide what to wear them with!
