fall-ebration dinner

This year's fall-ebration dinner happened much later than last year's. We were too busy getting ready for our road trip that we had no time to do it right when the season changed (though it doesn't really matter in southern California, cause it is back in the 90's). Of course, we eventually found the time to do it.

We made and hung up our new fall leaf garland. Ben cooked up a delicious meal using seasonal fall ingredients. The girls had fall-ebration presents waiting for them, which are their new (vintage) shoes for the fall and winter season. Though the celebration was done a bit late, we still had a good time doing it.

Fall-ebration menu: acorn squash and gorgonzola pizza, pumpkin smoothies, and cinnamon doughnuts. All absolutely yum! Promise recipes to come soon...

To match our fall garland, I made a teeny leaf bunting to put on our pizza. It was perfect for our festivities and was inspired by that cake bunting that you have been seeing pop up all over the place.

I am sure I have more to say about our little fall-ebration, but it is now getting kinda late and my mind is getting loopy, so I better get to bed! Otherwise, I will no longer make sense.

Goodnight cyberspace!

  5. That is too cute...I love that you put the bunting on pizza....who says it has to be on a cake, you proved them wrong. :) I love your little celebrations.I bet your daughters would love to see the squash we just picked from our garden... I think it's bigger than all of them.I'll try to take a picture of it and post it b/c it's huge! :) I really love how you decorate the gifts so simply, yet they look so beautiful! Is the bowl with the donuts thrifted? If not, where did you get it from? It's pretty!
