polaroid tuesday: week twenty-four

week twenty-four
Our nice collection of vintage baby shoes. No matter what age, a girl will always love her shoes.

Some tidbits...
1. Yesterday, the biggest problem in our house was deciding what outdoor umbrella to buy... this cool one (don't worry I found it for a lower price) or something simpler? Um... help! Let me know what you think.
2. I am really nervous about renegade and am thinking of backing out because I don't know if I have time to make all I want to make. Do I need to have a lot of stuff?
3. I think I forgot to post the polaroid for last week. I will need to do that today.
4. My sister is having a fantabulous artist feature everyday this week. You must check it out!
5. We still don't know what umbrella to get and it is giving me a headache.
6. When I was little, my mom told me that if I don't wear socks around the house I would get lots of veins on my feet. I think that is why I have a lot of veins on my feet!
7. I can't think of anything more, but I hate ending this list at 7. I feel like it should go to 10.
8. Sorry if this post is kind of random. That is how I feel today. Umbrella online shopping can do that to you!

Thanks folks for putting up with me! xoxo

  1. Ahh I hate these sorts of problems. I try to go by the 'buy what you love, because then you'll appreciate it and actually USE it' sort of thinking. But that's not always a line of thought that can coexist with our budget! Can you pretty up the simpler one to a point where you'll LOVE it? If not...maybe save your pennies awhile longer for the one you love.

  3. I kind of like the simpler one that bends, which could be useful, but the pagoda one seems kind of fun like you are & it does come in some pretty colors.I guess you have to decide what you really want, function or style since one bends but I think that pagoda one looks like your style...its just fun....it makes me think of being under a circus tent.I think the girls would probably like that one, too. :)

  4. To be honest, I can't choose either! But since they're both great, I don't think you'll regret getting either one.

  11. I'd go simple, but in a fun color, and string some lights under it for night time atmosphere :)

  14. I don't know you in person, but from reading your blog I can see how the pagoda one is more you. I can imagine it with the vintage table, and your garden markers and lights, and in my mind it all fits into a beautiful composition! :)

  16. Lol! Maybe it's because I'm in Scotland but I assumed you meant a rainy-over-your-shoulder-type-umberella! I wanted to see if the ones you'd chosen were as funky as I'd expect from you.
I'm not really familiar with patio umberellas at all so can't judge their cool-ness, sorry!

  17. If you are anything like me there is probably the umbrella you really want and the one you feel like you should get. Get the one you want--otherwise every time you sit under the other one you'll hate it.

  19. i am still so stuck!

just in case someone is flipping out about the price of the striped one, don't worry... i am not paying $500 for an umbrella. yeah right! i found a local shop that sells it for about 75% less than that price, but they don't have a place that i can link to, so i linked to that black and white one. remember, we do budget and a $500 for one umbrella isn't in ours!

  20. you always seem to find the coolest things for your home. maybe you can hold out to find something really vintagey and cool. or maybe find a vintage inspired beach changing tent type thing that you could pull the sides back and have a table under or something...

    good luck!
