This was the one and only picture I got at the wedding and I had my sister take it for us. Want to see more of the wedding? Read here, here, here, here, or here. I can't wait to see the official pictures from the photographer!
I am back and will be for sure on Monday. This week was spent catching up to life (and helping Ben finish his end of taxes). Ben told me stories that he has been waiting to tell me since I got caught up in wedding craziness. I put away the huge pile of laundry that was waiting in the hallway. I hung all the clothes that were thrown on the floor of my closet. Basically, I tackled my messy house that missed me so much. Can't forget that I cuddled with my girls and tried to read a book. I even slept in a whole lot and didn't even sew or make a thing! All was and is bliss (and today I have bathrooms to clean)!
What's next up on my life agenda? True's birthday is in a week and a half, so we have a little preparing to do. Nothing big, it will be nice and simple and catered to exactly what she wants.
All in all, God is good. Even amidst trials we are going through, God is good. I have to say that I am so, so far from perfect, and even though it isn't displayed here (my bad side) often, I really do have a bad side and a cranky side and sometimes I am not the friendliest. I must admit that so you get a well-rounded view of who I am. Ultimately though, I can continue on because of what Christ did for me. I don't want being a wife or mother to define me, or crafting or things I do to define me, I want Christ to define me. Without Christ, my life would be vanity. I am also far from being the "model christian" as I struggle daily with putting God first and center, but I am really am so thankful for God's unending love and forgiveness. There is a line in a praise & worship song that we sang at church recently, and it really struck me... "I give my life to follow, everything I believe in, now I surrender." This is really how I want to live my life. It ain't easy though. I am nothing apart from Christ. Don't mind my little rant, just sharing a bit of what's in my heart.
The weekend is here and we don't have any plans yet. I really can't believe today is Friday. I feel this week was freakishly short and flew by super fast. Next week I will be back to my normal blogging self and this weekend I have some new sponsors to share. Oh and just announced (sorry late again) the winners of the last giveaways, here and here.
Have a joyful weekend everyone!!!
