Sunday...

Funny story: I was burping Brave this morning and she let out a big burp. Then all of a sudden, all the milk came out!!! I immediately put her down to wipe things up (because it was all on me) and she let out the biggest smile...It was like she knew she got all this yucky stuff on me and thought it was so funny. I ran to get the camera to capture her smiling...

Also, got some sewing in today while the girls napped. The result: A clutch topped off with another vintage button...

Done...

I was able to cross off more things off my to-do list...I am finally done making clips!!! Also, I was able to do some sewing. I haven't touched my machine in a week or maybe even two!!! I made True her first tweed coat topped off with a vintage button (or maybe it is more like a short-sleeved jacket)...

Thanks dear friend for the lovely idea!!! There are a few more similar styles I want to make her, maybe one with longer sleeves...I want to make Brave one too, but not sure what size to make because she is growing so, so fast!!!

It looks like True liked her coat...She liked it so much she decided to throw a party with the corn. It was everywhere!!!

This evening really tried mine and Ben's patience because Brave was crying so much and wouldn't stop. Though, I would rather have her cry in the evening rather than in the middle of the night...Praise God!!! She eventually stopped right after we put True to bed. She really just wanted to be held...I love her!!!

Thank the Lord for more memories...

Monday...

Today, I had to do a lot of work for Benny in between changing and feeding both babycakies. I still have clippies to make, projects waiting to be started, and our house is a mess. This is my mess...

Which is not nearly as bad as True's mess...

And her lunch mess...

And the girls took nice afternoon naps, while I tried to do more work for Benny. This is Brave napping...

And through a cracked open door to her room, this is how True looks napping...

I do have some fun things that I just got. My new pattern book and some more fabric that will be used for my list of projects waiting to get started, but only after I clean the house!!! Also, I started a new crafting medium and I am in the process of taking lessons. My mom also showed me a new trick tonight...

Benny is going out of town tomorrow and taking the computer with him. I will say farewell to all my online doings for the next few days, which is just as well because I have a house to clean, clips to make, and projects to start on. So maybe when he returns, I will cross off some of the things on my to do list...

Lord, please keep our Benny safe as he goes off to provide for our family. Keep him alert as he drives and give him energy to carry out all the tasks at hand. And bring him home safely...

we love a rainy day...

Rain, rain don't go away,
Please come again another day,
Cause little Truey wants to play,
Rain, rain don't go away...

True loved stomping and touching the puddles. I think she was doing the rain dance. She was trying to say, "Rain come again please..."

Want some Cakies?

Cakies clippies are now sold at another local baby boutique called Rattle 'n Roll...Praise God!!! This is also the store that we bought True's flip flops, and there is a dress there that inspired the apron dress I made earlier this week. This morning, the owner Jennifer called to invite me and True (and Brave, but she hadn't met her yet) to their store's 2nd birthday party...

There were cupcakes...yummy!!!

They even had a henna tatoo artist...I was afraid True might be allergic and that she wouldn't sit still, so we just watched. Plus the line was too long...

True had fun playing (more like watching) with the kids at the party and touching all the toys and clothes at her level...

Happy 2nd Birthday to Rattle 'n Roll!!!

Picking up the hook...

I haven't crocheted in a year, but I figured it was time to start again. My goal was to crank out a little scarf for True. I felt a little rusty at first, but then it came back to me. See in California, there is not much of a need for warm clothing. The weather seldom gets very cold, but nevertheless I wanted to make True a scarf. So I started...

It is nice that True is so small because in no time I was finished and she loved it...

Get moving...

I already signed up for etsy, but I really need to get moving with posting things...I seem to like to sit on my lazy butt...

But I did finish the new clips that still need to be delivered to Lola Baby...

Guess what we found lurking around our house?

and another one...

Eek!!! There's two of them...

They are trying to escape, so True was trying to catch them...

She finally caught them, so we made them a bed and gave them some cheese...

Daddy came home and True told him all about her Great Mice Adventure...

Now, the two little mice have become a part of our home and family.

Thanks for the great pattern from MollyChicken !!!

Another addition...

Here is the newest of "The Apron Series." I am not too crazy about the fabric, but I was playing around with a style I have never tried before...

And True's own creation, the other project we were working together on last week, but just finished (It isn't easy working with a 16 month old). Introducing her first piece of her very own series called...Scribbles!!!

She scribbled and learned how to dot all over the white, while mommy scribbled and embroidered (if you can call it that) all over the brown...

I hope True will love crafting and sewing as much as I do!!!
