It sounds like it was a satisfying birthing experience for you, especially since you wanted it to be different from the first three and you got that. :)

I used Hypnobirthing for all 3 of my children. I absolutely LOVE it! I could seriously talk about Hypnobirthing all day. With my first birth I read the Hypnobirthing book in my third trimester and really wanted to try it out. Hypnobirthing wasn't very popular in my area at that time, and I found someone who was willing to teach it to me about 5 weeks before my due date. I did a lot of practice on my own and used the method to birth naturally. So, for those who are wondering if there isn't enough time to practice, I say that if they really commit to it, they can still do it.Vanghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12122887454704216000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-959092383542566379.post-40897216211722423092012-05-25T05:32:48.677-07:002012-05-25T05:32:48.677-07:00Beautiful!

It didn't go as smoothly for me (29.5 hours of intense labor) but I can only imagine what would have happened without Hypnobirthing. Love the photos! Congrats! It's really similar to my birth story with my son, only I didn't formally hypnobirth him - I just found "my zone" and went there during each contraction/surge. I have a photo of me with a giant smile on my face when I was at 10 cm, about ready to push! It was an amazing experience and I'm so glad you got to have it with Glow - I really think a happy natural childbirth changed me as a woman and made me feel like I could do anything (after having an epidural with my daughter that left me foggyheaded). I hope you feel like superwoman now too. :)

I think anyone considering natural childbirth should read Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth - amazing empowering stories in there. How did you choose your song? How long did you practice before your delivery, and when did you start your sessions with the instructor? My husband and I are trying, and hypnobirthing is something I'm VERY interested in... but I'll admit, it scares me a bit. With my first I got an epidural pretty early on and she ended up being posterior and no amount of anything would get her to turn. After a very long time I ended up getting a c-section. I am happy that she arrived healthy but I feel that maybe if I had waited on the epidural She could've turned herself... (mom intuition?)

Anyway I am glad to hear your experience and I feel that often the only people sharing their birthing stories are the negative ones! It's great to hear it so positive because even though I had a harder birth, I was literally thrilled with everything! The right attitude makes all the difference :)Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02277486524504218010noreply@blogger.com
